______________________________________________
I started at Northland Animal Hospital in
2001. I was eager to start at a place where I had the opportunity
to develop long-term relationships with pets and their owners.
My experiences over the past years have shown me how vital a family
veterinarian can be. I wached patients grow from puppy/kitten-hood
through adolescence and on into geriatric ages. Watching them
grow has taughte me the importance of preventative medicine and
client education.
I
started my animal experience at the age of 13 working for Blandford
Nature Center's Wildlife Care Center. I volunteered for several
years and later worked as the hospital manger. In this capacity
I cared for sick and injured wildlife and educating people on
their role in wildlife management. In 1997 I started a full time
career in veterinary emergency and critical care at the local
referral and emergency hospital. Since then I have worked for
several clinics and veterinarians in the area.
Outside
of my fulltime job at Northland I continue to work for the local
emergency hospital and also work as a door guy in Easttown. I
am very active within the Native American community participating
in powwow‚s, discussion groups, and educational presentations.
I am a member of Owashtinong Chun-A-Ming, a local native drum
groups that travels though out the Great Lakes performing at many
different events.
When away from work I spend time with my fiancée and our
beautiful daughter Stella. Any other spare time is spent practicing the violin,
play a game of billards, and workin on various other activities.
