The best part of my job is that it’s not a job! As a Veterinary Assistant I have a perfectly valid excuse to cuddle, cajole and basically spoil the fur
off cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, and whoever else comes
through the door!

I began my adventure in Veterinary medicine a number of years ago,
at the clinic where I brought my own pets. Over those years, I’ve seen
huge advances in diagnostics, pain management, and a better respect
for the human-animal bond. I’ve had an opportunity to work with some
great people, fascinating species, and a new challenge every day.

My husband Rod and I have a grown son, Mike. There’s also Roxxie the yellow Lab, Joey the Weimeraner, Weezie, Khali and Emily of the feline nationality, a Betta, and Spud the turtle.

Rod and I have come to an understanding; there will always be a number
of family members that followed me home, and the number may change without notice.
